Question about the plan of GPU part

Peter9606
I'm wondering the plan about the GPU/CUDA part, is there any plan to add new
algorithm into CUDA/GPU modules?
Seems there was a plan on different GPU implementation in OpenCL, according
to
http://www.pcl-developers.org/why-pcl-cuda-and-pcl-gpu-namespace-td5018319.html

Thanks,
Peter Han

That's a really old thread and afaik there is no one currently working
on it. Feel free to send proposals and patches :).

Cheers Jochen

Re: Question about the plan of GPU part

koen buys
It is very likely that within the next few months I'll be able to pick this back up and support the CUDA part again.

But feel free to submit patches!

Koen

Re: Question about the plan of GPU part

Sérgio Agostinho
That would be really helpful. I have the impression that the currently active maintainer team (myself for sure) is not proficient enough to provide proper support.

Cheers

Re: Question about the plan of GPU part

Peter9606
I really like the gpu module design which gives us different choices more
than CUDA. I'm thinking of having an openCL implementation which could
benefit not only integrated GPU but also FPGA.

Thanks,
Peter Han
